11/14/2009 3:00:00 PM

New Delhi, Nov 14 (IANS) Theatre lovers in Delhi are in for a treat as the five-day new age theatre festival begins Sunday.

The Youth Theatre Festival is presented by the Atelier's Theatre Society and Rock Castle Nov 15-21 across several venues here.
It will be supported by the Delhi government, National School of Drama and Delhi University.

'Atelier aims to bring theatre professionals closer to the youth and inculcate love for theatre in them,' organisers said in a statement Saturday. This is the second edition of the festival.

It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at Hotel Ashoka Sunday.

The inauguration will be followed by the staging of the play 'Ambedkar Aur Gandhi' by the Asmita Theatre Group.

The theatre week will see eminent theatre personalities in the capital to attend special sessions. The Bollywood guests include Gul Panag, Saurab Shukla and Vinay Pathak.

The participants also include 25 college teams from the Arts Faculty (in the North campus); Sri Venkateshwara College (South Campus) and Sriram Centre (Mandi House).
