Rajnath Singh, Raman Singh campaign for BJP in Jharkhand
11/20/2009 8:32:00 PM

Ranchi, Nov 20 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh Friday addressed two poll rallies in Jharkhand, appealing for vote for the BJP, which he promised would provide a 'stable government' in the state for five years.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, who has been campaigning vigorously for the past two days in the state, said only the BJP is capable of providing a stable government.

Rajnath Singh, addressing a rally in Madhupur in Deoghar district, blamed the Congress party for the 'misery' in the state.

He promised to provide a holistic development of the state and a transparent and fair government.

Raman Singh, speaking to reporters here, said: 'The Congress patronizes people like Madhu Koda and Shibu Soren. In the last three years, Jharkhand has suffered on all fronts, and if the BJP is given a chance I am sure Jharkhand will move four steps ahead of Chhattisgarh. In Chhattisgarh we have done some good work and Jharkhand will go far ahead in development.'

In two days, Raman Singh has addressed five rallies in Jharkhand which will have five-phased polls Nov 25-Dec 18.
