Patna, May 9 (IANS) A senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) official in Bihar has filed a police complaint saying that he feared a threat to his life from some of his colleagues in the service.
Demanding immediate security for himself and his family, Anandbardhan Sinha, who is posted in the state planning department, has named at least five officials in his complaint for making casteist remarks against him.
He said in his complaint that the officials were abusing him and mentally torturing him. Sinha, an upper caste Kayasth, said he was being called 'mad kayasth'.
Sinha has also written Chief Secretary K.A.H. Subramanian and Bihar police chief Asish Ranjan Sinha about the perceived threats to his life.
