Sharjah ruler writes off two citizens' debts

Sharjah, April 13 (IANS/WAM) The ruler of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ordered the authorities to write off the debts of two citizens.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi ordered solving the financial problems of Abu Abdul Aziz who voiced his difficulties through a call to the 'Direct Link' programme broadcast on Sharjah Radio.

In a phone call made to the programme from London, Sheikh Sultan said he ordered the relieving of all debts of Aziz.

He ordered a grant of 30,000 dirhams to Abu Abdul Aziz and directed Tariq bin Khadi, head of the Sharjah Human Resources Department, to provide him with a job.

Sheikh Sultan also ordered assistance to another caller named Abu Nouf.
