General Singh takes on Ministry of Defence, SC
5/26/2012 9:31:00 PM

New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Army Chief General V.K. Singh on Saturday criticized the Defence Ministry for illegitimately releasing top secret information related to his age, while making his displeasure clear with the Supreme Court's handling of the case related to his age row in February.

Speaking to a TV channel, General Singh alleged that papers related to his age and classified top secret by the Ministry of Defence itself were illegitimately released by it.

He claimed that there was an obvious effort to fix him and said that somebody from the defence ministry was responsible for selective leaking the information.

Talking about the Supreme Court, the General said that a very senior apex court judge had told him to blow with the wind.

If all of us are going to blow with the wind then we will all become muggers, we will all become corrupt, he said, according to a transcript of his interview released by the Times Now channel.

Justice Lodha, to whom the apparent reference was made, had actually remarked, wise men are those who move with the wind. We take pride in having (an) officer like you. Credit must go to you. (ANI)
