No Kayani-Antony meet in Singapore: ISPR
5/28/2012 12:06:00 PM

Islamabad, May 28 (ANI): The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has denied Indian media reports that Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani is expected to meet the Indian defence minister in Singapore's Sigari-la moot, scheduled for June.

He (Kayani) is not going to Singapore, an ISPR spokesman told the Daily Times.

ISPR said the news is totally baseless, adding that general Kayani would not be attending the Sigari-la moot, which would be debating issues such as terrorism, natural calamities and environmental changes.

Indian media had earlier reported that General Kayani and Indian Defence Minister A K Antony would meet in Singapore to discuss demilitarisation in Siachen.

Quoting the Indian media report, some private Pakistani TV channels also reported that General Kayani was expected to meet Antony. (ANI)
