Uproar in UP Assembly; BSP accuses SP of lawlessness, corruption
5/28/2012 3:29:00 PM

Lucknow, May 28 (ANI): The opening day of the Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh state Assembly witnessed verbal mayhem here on Monday, as leaders of the opposition Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) created a ruckus in the House, forcing it to be adjourned till 12:30 p.m.

The BSP leaders accused the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) of spreading lawlessness in the state and protecting corrupt leaders.

The MLAs clashed with each other over the issue of rising corruption and deterioration of the law and order situation in the state.

The leaders climbed the furniture and forced the Governor, Banwari Lal Joshi, to abruptly end his speech.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is expected to present the budget on June 1. (ANI)
