Team Anna rubbishes reports of exempting PM from graft charges
5/28/2012 8:08:00 PM

Noida, May 28 (ANI): Team Anna has trashed media reports that claimed they had given a clean-chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in alleged cases of corruption.

Interacting with reporters here on Monday, Supreme Court lawyer and Team Anna member, Prashant Bhushan denied giving clean- chit to the Prime Minister.

Anna Hazare has not given a clean chit to the Prime Minister. We have also said that we don't believe that he takes bribes himself, but the question is if he is not taking bribe, then why is he allowing all this to go on, Bhushan said.

Earlier on Saturday, Team Anna associate and Right to Information (RTI) activist Arvind Kejriwal had accused 15 cabinet ministers, including the Prime Minister of graft and nepotism.

Citing a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, Kejriwal had alleged that most of the country's coal blocks were granted to private companies at throwaway prices between 2006 and 2009, when the Prime Minister was overseeing the Coal Ministry. (ANI)
