Becks pays surprise visit to London school
6/2/2012 6:52:00 PM

London, June 2 (ANI): David Beckham made a surprise visit to a London school during morning assembly to take part in some of the Paralymic sports the school had been promoting.

Staff at Vaughan Primary School in North West London, were sworn to secrecy before the visit by the former England Captain, which drew cheers of excitment from the pupils, the Telegraph reported.

The 37-year-old then joined the children, aged between three and eleven, in the playground to play blind football and took part in a sitting volleyball match.

Paralympic sports are a regular part of the school curriculum at Vaughan Primary School in North West London to promote appreciation of disabled sports.

Beckham praised the efforts of people who took part in the campaign.

For the kids to try this, two million kids around the country have now tried a Paralympic sport, that's an amazing number and it's going to inspire a number of kids now, with disabilities and without disabilities, to take part, Beckham said. (ANI)
