6/2/2012 8:25:00 PM

New Delhi, June 2 (IANS) Two people have been arrested in the national capital and five kg opium seized from them, police said Saturday.

Om Prakash, 28, from Rajasthan, and Pramod, 24, a resident of Hisar in Haryana, were arrested May 31 from Adarsh Nagar railway station in north Delhi.

One month ago, both met in Rajasthan and decided to supply opium in Delhi, said Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (crime).

Jain said Om Prakash came to the railway station to deliver the opium to Pramod, who was to supply it to his contacts in Azadpur Mandi in north Delhi.
