Hamilton says this season's championship win would be sweeter than last title win
6/12/2012 3:42:00 PM

London, June 12(ANI): McLaren ace driver Lewis Hamilton has said he is not thinking about the drivers championship this season, but if he manages to win it this season, it would taste sweeter than his win in 2008.

The Brit has stormed to the top of the table in the drivers' competition after his faultless win in the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Hamilton is now ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and reigning champion, Sebastian Vettel and says he would love to slug it out with the duo until the end of the season.

That would be an amazing tussle between the three of us. The two strongest drivers in Formula One at present. Two double world champions and both incredible drivers.

I have an incredible amount of respect for the both of them. To be in the mix with them gives me great pleasure, The Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.

But there is no way I am thinking about the championship just at the moment. It is too far away. We are not even half way through the season and I already know the next race is going to be even harder for us, he added. (ANI)
