6/14/2012 8:18:00 PM

Bishkek, June 14 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Kyrgyzstan's parliament approved a draft law Thursday scrapping entry visa requirements for the citizens of 44 states for a stay of less than 60 days.

The step was undertaken to stimulate tourism and trade.

The new law applies to countries with a GDP per head of over $7,000, including almost all Western European states, Bahrain, Brunei, the Baltic states, Canada, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the US.
