Spice Girls to auction iconic clothes
6/29/2012 5:25:00 AM

London, June 29 (IANS) Famous girl band Spice Girls are planning to donate some of their iconic costumes to two children's charities.

I've got all my costumes still. I can't wait for (my daughter) Harper to grow a little so she can have some, contactmusic.com quoted Victoria Beckham as saying.

But the rest I'd like to put up for charity, I think it would be a fantastic thing to do. Everything we did at the time was great, it really was great. We watched a little video Geri (Halliwell) put together and I think we were nearly all brought to tears, Victoria said.

Fans will be able to pick up garments such as Emma Bunton's babydoll dresses, Melanie Chisholm's tracksuits and Melanie Brown's leopard-print catsuits. However, Halliwell's Union Jack dress will not be on sale.

They are hoping to sell some of their outfits in aid of Save the Children and Children in Need at a gala event later this year.
