Murray dumps 'faulty' designer shorts after Wimbledon 'ballgate' debacle
7/2/2012 3:50:00 PM

London, July 2(ANI): British number one tennis player Andy Murray has snubbed his exclusive designer shorts, which gave him lots of trouble during his third-round match against Marcos Baghdatis, for a 14.99 pound worth shorts.

The churlish Scot was left incensed during his thrilling encounter with Marcos Baghdatis after three balls slipped out mid-rally.

The umpire forgave the first, but the next two cost points, and, now, Murray has ditched his exclusive shorts and will don a pair of Barricade Bermudas.

Murray rose above Saturday's slip-ups, inevitably dubbed 'Ballgate', in a match that ended later than any other in Wimbledon's 126-year history.he world number four won the round three match 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.

The result of an individual technical error in the handmade pocket. Andy will wear the Barricade Bermuda short... worn by all other Adidas-sponsored players, The Daily Express quoted a spokesman, as saying.

Shorts' supplier, Adidas has promised to investigate after tennis balls kept falling out of his shorts in his third-round match, which cost him points. (ANI)
