7/18/2012 6:03:00 AM

Moscow, July 18 (IANS/RIA Novosti) A North Korean man was injured and allegedly robbed of $100,000 Tuesday in what seems to be a planned assault by criminals in Moscow.

According to a preliminary probe, two attackers driving an unidentified car intercepted his BMW 525 sedan, shot him with a non-lethal gun, took his briefcase with money and drove off.

The victim claims he was robbed of $100,000, a police spokesman said. A search for the criminals is underway.

The police official did not disclose the identity or the status of the North Korean man.
