Anand Sharma to discuss industrial projects with Punjab, Haryana CMs

New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma will visit Chandigarh tomorrow to discuss industrial growth in Punjab and Haryana with the chief ministers of the two states.

Sharma will first meet Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and later in the day he will meet Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Sharma will be accompanied by a high level delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

During the meetings, the industrial projects in the states and issues pertaining to the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor will figure prominently.

As part of ongoing consultation on FDI related issues including FDI in multi brand retail, Sharma will ascertain the views of the chief ministers on the issue.

Sharma had already written to Badal seeking his cooperation on this important initiative, which has been put on hold pending further consultation.

During his visit, Sharma will also interact with the captains of Industry. (ANI)
