Sonia expresses grief over Rajesh Khanna's demise

New Delhi, July 18 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi Wednesday expressed her deep sorrow on the demise of Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in Mumbai after prolonged illness.

A statement by the Congress said Gandhi has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Khanna, also a former party parliamentarian.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has expressed her deep sorrow and grief on the demise of Shri Rajesh Khanna, the statement said.

Rajesh Khanna, Bollywood's first superstar, passed away Wednesday following prolonged illness.
