Capello deal not finalized: Russian FA

Moscow, July 18 (IANS) Italian coach Fabio Capello is still in negotiations over the vacant Russia post, and the deal is yet to be finalized, the Russian FA said Wednesday.

The Russian Federation Union (RFU) is at the stage of negotiations with representatives of the Italian coach Fabio Capello, a website statement said.

At the moment representatives are discussing details of an agreement with a group of foreign lawyers, the only individuals with the exclusive authority as given by Fabio Capello to conduct talks, the union added.

The RFU would like to draw attention to the fact that any other information that appears in the media is not trustworthy.

The union said that should the parties agree on all points and the contract between the RFU and Fabio Capello is signed, the RFU will immediately announce the news on its official site.

If confirmed, Capello's first game in charge would be Aug 15 friendly against the Ivory Coast in Moscow.
