UAE's YahLive network launches sports channel
8/7/2012 11:28:00 PM

Abu Dhabi, Aug 7 (IANS/WAM) YahLive, a UAE-based satellite channel operator, has added GEM Sports TV to its growing bouquet of channels.

With GEM Sports TV, viewers in the Gulf region can now enjoy live coverage of the 2012 London Olympics on YahLive.

The recent rights acquisition and agreement for GEM Sports TV to broadcast the 2012 London Olympics via the YahLive satellite will enable TV viewers across the Gulf region to experience the Olympic Games in ultimate HD, and is a natural extension of our long-standing partnership with GEM TV, said YahLive CEO Mohamed Youssif.

Saeed Karimian, chairman of GEM Group, said GEM Sports will transmit the Olympics coverage in three different languages - Arabic, English and Farsi.
