UAE, UN aid agency explore cooperation

Abu Dhabi, Aug 9 (IANS/WAM) The UAE and the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) have discussed joint cooperation during humanitarian emergencies.

OCHA's Gulf office head Khaled Khalifa lauded the efforts of the UAE in alleviating the suffering of people at time of crisis across the world.

He was speaking during a meeting with UAE's Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi. They discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in responding humanitarian emergencies in Africa and Asia.
