New York, August 10 (ANI): Ronda Rousey, who is the most recognizable women's mixed martial artist (MMA) fighter in the world and the covergirl of ESPN's 'The Body Issue,' said on an American late night TV show on Wednesday that sex raises your testosterone and would help your confidence.
So, it kind of sucks that I don't have a boyfriend right now, the New York Post quoted her as saying on the show.
But I'm sure my Twitter is blowing up with offers at the moment, she said.
The comments were in response to a question by the host, who said male athletes have a superstition that they should not have sexual activity before a fight.
Is that a superstition that women have in [MMA]? the host asked.
The 25-year-old, who is undefeated in her career, answered: Actually it's the opposite for women. When you have sex, it raises your testosterone.
The former Olympic bronze medallist in judo, though, admitted to not being aware of the science behind it.
Maybe that was a pickup line I heard or something, she added. (ANI)
