Elizabeth Banks admits being on birth control in Obama campaign ad
8/10/2012 5:12:00 PM

London, August 10 (ANI): Actress Elizabeth Banks has opened up about her personal experiences with birth control in a candid campaign advertisement for U.S. President Barack Obama.

In a new promo aimed at female voters, the actress revealed how she turned to the non-profit organisation 'Planned Parenthood' for health care services after she graduated from college.

Yes, I got birth control, but it was for my massive migraine headaches and my heavy flow. Yeah, I'm on record saying I had a heavy flow! Unfortunately, these are the type of things that I don't want to discuss with employers... That's between me and my doctor, and at the time, my doctor happened to be at Planned Parenthood, the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

I'm really grateful that they exist, they provide essential services for women all over this country, she said.

Banks also stressed on the importance of federal funding for the reproductive health clinics, which Obama's Republican rival Mitt Romney opposes.

President Obama has not compromised on women's rights, and that's why President Obama needs to stay in office, she added. (ANI)
